The former American Idol star is hard at work, beginning her first vocal sessions for her next album on Tuesday morning (April 17) in Nashville, one day after winning three CMT Music Awards for her video, "Before He Cheats." She told reporters backstage at the show that her second album will definitely be released this year, although no release date has been set.

Alan Jackson helping children
Always good to see big name stars giving back and that's exactly what Alan Jackson is doing! Alan Jackson will sell a variety of car parts from his garage on Saturday (April 21) in Nashville to benefit the Tennessee Baptist Children's Home.
